About LM Cases
MA Lighting MA on PC / Faderwing Workstation
This case was designed for New World Symphony to be an all in one workstation for their MA Lighting MAonPC and FaderWing. The case holds the two controllers in custom CNC cut plastic brackets that contours the shape of each unit and keep them securely mounted. The case is designed to hold 2 monitors mounted on a position control board allowing them to be tilted in any position within a 180 degree range. All wiring is enclosed in a custom doghouse that includes a 2RU patch section for an IO panel. The case also includes a slide out tray for a keyboard.
The brackets that hold the controllers are made out of 1/2" marine grade plastic, all edges are rounded for a very smooth and streamlined look. The doghouse doubles as support for the monitor mount board in addition to hiding cable clutter. The doghouse is built from 3/4" Baltic Birch and is finished with black texture coating. The doghouse features a top lid that opens from the rear to access cables, the doghouse lid and monitor mount board can be accessed independently. The doghouse also features a 2RU rack section allowing basic daily connections to be addressed via a patch panel. The monitors are mounted on a 1/2" marine grade plastic board with pre-drilled holes fitting a standard VESA pattern. The position control hinges allow the monitor board to function in the same way as a laptop screen: the board can be adjusted and remain in position without the need for support. The case also features a slide out keyboard shelf finished in black texture coating
The case exterior is built out of 3/8" plywood laminated with black ABS plastic and features a removable top and front lid, the case also featured deep recessed handles and 3" in board dolly casters. The casters feature custom back plates that allow them to be easily replaced in the field.
