2 Capacity Brompton Tessera XD Case (Truss Clamps Attached)

This case is designed to hold two Brompton Tessera XD data distribution units while allowing their truss-mount half-couplers to remain attached.

The Brompton Tessera XD is a 2RU data distribution unit used in professional LED video systems to extend and distribute Tessera network connections between a video processor and LED fixtures. The XD can be rack mounted conventionally or attached directly to truss using M12 half-couplers, making it especially well suited for touring LED and large-format video systems. 

Rather than requiring the truss hardware to be removed for transport, this case uses a custom foam and center-support system that provides clearance for the attached clamps. The two XD units nest inside the case while the couplers are free to swivel within the available space, reducing setup and teardown time for touring video crews.

The interior incorporates multiple layers of high-density polyethylene foam shaped specifically around the Tessera XD chassis and rack ears. The final design also uses a rigid Starboard center support assembly instead of relying entirely on a loose foam divider. That assembly is foam-lined, located into the bottom foam, and mechanically fastened through the bottom of the case for greater long-term durability. 

Additional relief is incorporated into the lid to accommodate protruding hardware and handles. The revised drawing specifies 1/2-inch foam plugs installed in 1.25-inch-deep lid cavities, helping maintain secure contact around the equipment without placing unnecessary pressure on the protruding components. 

A dedicated carpet-lined accessory compartment provides storage for cables and other small system accessories. This case is built from 1/4" plywood laminated with Charcoal ABS plastic and features a custom silkscreen of our customer Panavid's logo.
