Football Helmet/Shoulder Pad/Glove Transport Trunk

This custom Shoulder Pad, Glove & Accessory Trunk was designed and manufactured by LM Cases for the University of Cincinnati to provide an organized, mobile storage solution for backup football equipment. Unlike the more common helmet-and-shoulder-pad trunks we build, this configuration is dedicated to shoulder pads, gloves, footwear, apparel, and general equipment storage, making it an ideal support case for equipment staffs traveling with a large inventory of replacement gear. 

The interior is divided into two primary equipment-storage sections. One side features 15 individual cubby compartments, with nine smaller compartments across the upper portion of the case and six larger compartments below. The larger compartments incorporate raised retaining lips to help keep shoes, clothing, and other loose equipment contained while the case is being moved. 

At the bottom of the trunk are four heavy-duty storage drawers constructed from 1/2" Baltic birch. Each drawer rides on heavy-duty Accuride drawer slides and includes three removable marine-grade plastic dividers, allowing each drawer to be divided into as many as four separate storage areas. Machined dados locate the removable dividers while allowing equipment staff to quickly reconfigure each drawer for gloves, accessories, repair supplies, apparel, or other gear. All four drawers use the same configurable divider layout. 

The opposite side of the case is dedicated to shoulder pad storage. Six horizontal storage bars allow multiple sets of shoulder pads to be stacked and organized by size for fast access when replacements are needed. This section is separated from the accessory-storage area by a 3/8" clear Lexan door, providing visibility into the compartment while keeping the shoulder pads securely contained. Heavy-duty Southco slam latches secure the access door during use and transport.

Like all LM Cases custom equipment trunks, this case was designed around the workflow of the end user rather than forcing equipment into a generic storage configuration. The combination of shoulder-pad racks, configurable drawers, shoe and accessory cubbies, and durable ATA-style construction creates a purpose-built mobile equipment room for collegiate, professional, and traveling football programs.
