Microphone / Stand Tech Workbox - 30 Capacity
This work station is designed for touring sound productions and venues with in house production. The work station holds 25 full sized mic stands and 5 low profile mics stands. The low profile stands are mounted in the front 5 compartments for easy access. The mic stand divider network is construction from black ½” non abrasive marine grade plastic. All edges are routed for easy loading. The stands rest on carpet to prevent gouging in the case bottom. The full sized stand compartments feature usable dimensions of 4.125” wide x 3.875” deep x 38” tall. The low profile stand compartments feature the same width and depth as the full sized stands with a reduced height of 20”.
The main work surface features usable dimensions of 21.75” wide x 24.75” deep. It is finished with carpet to provide a soft, non-abrasive, work surface. A ¼” marine grade plastic lip lines the perimeter of the work surface to prevent microphones from rolling off. A 2RU rack section is mounted below the work surface for power distribution units such as the LM Tour Systems 2RU Edison/USB Power Distribution Unit. The bottom of the rack section is lined with carpet allowing the space to be used as a shelf should the rack rails not be needed. A LM Tour Systems DSK-I inlet box is provided as the main power inlet source. The DSK-I box provides an additional True1® outlet for items in the rack section. 3 drawers are provided for microphone and peripheral storage. The first drawer features a 30 capacity PE foam insert for typical hand held mics such as the SM58 & SM57. Spacing is provided for larger and odd shaped mics such as the e604 and e609. 2 open drawers are provided for larger mics like 421’s and condenser mics in factory plastic cases. Each drawer is built out of ½” Baltic birch joined via dove tails. The drawers are mounted in a ½” plywood inner structure that isolates them from the exterior case preventing damage from external stresses. All drawers are mounted on HD Accuride® glides.
The case lid features full color LED light. The light can be turned on via an illuminated white switch mounted in the lid. It can also be operated via a remote control. The exterior case is built out of 3/8” plywood laminated with your choice of ABS plastic colors. The case features pad-locking hasp latches, and 10 deep recessed handles. The case rides on 4” Colson® casters (2 Locking) mounted on a full sized ¾” birch caster board. The case features exterior dims of 48” x 30”. LM Cases are built by hand in Youngstown, Ohio.
