Dietitian Trunk w/Blender Drawer For The Chicago Cubs
This custom LM Cases dietitian’s trunk was built for the Chicago Cubs. The trunk features 32 cubby compartments, a HD drawer designed to fit a Blendtec Professional 800 blender and Wildside+ Jar and 2 HD storage drawers.
The top compartment of the trunk features 323 cubby compartments. These compartments are sized around Clif Bars, Honey Stinger Waffles, electrolyte packets, Cheribundi Cherry Shots and 6.8oz plastic food containers from The Container Store. The divider network is configured in 8 rows that can be split into 4. This allows flexibility for the snacks and allows future configuration should the dietary needs change. The cubby compartment is finished with black textured coating with the dividers being built from marine grade plastic for easy cleaning. All dividers are removable.
A custom drawer is designed to hold a Blendtec Professional 800 blender and 4 Wildside+ Jars. The blender compartment is lined with closed cell Crosslink foam which is non-abrasive and will not absorb liquids. 2 additional storage drawers are provided for larger items. These drawers are split into 4 quadrants. The dividers are removable allowing the drawers to be configured in a 4 or 2 compartment configuration. Each drawer is built from ½” Baltic Birch finished with black textured coating and mounted on HD Accuride glides.
The trunk exterior is built from 3/8” plywood laminated with charcoal ABS plastic. The trunk features a hinged top lid with a removable front lid. The front lid includes HD steel powder coated table legs and provides a 47.625” x 27.5” work surface. ½” black marine grade plastic runners allowing it to be flipped for bus & plane packs are provided. The trunk features 8 deep recessed handles and rides on 6 – 3.5” casters with the front 3 locking. A 3-color silkscreen of the Cubs logo is provided.
