Sports Dietitian Beverage Transport Trunk
This custom beverage transport and service case built by LM Cases was designed for a professional sports dietitian who needed a durable, organized way to transport and distribute multiple varieties of bottled beverages while traveling with the team.
Originally built for the Chicago Cubs, the case was designed around a load of 24 beverage cases, including cold brew coffee, protein shakes, and Gatorade Fast Twitch drinks. Rather than simply stacking the product inside a large trunk, LM Cases developed a purpose-built shelving system that keeps the different beverages organized, separated, and easily accessible when the case arrives on site.
The interior features four large shelf compartments sized around the beverage packaging. The shelves provide approximately 8.5" of vertical clearance and utilize the full depth of the case, allowing smaller cold brew cartons to be loaded two deep where appropriate. This configuration maximizes capacity while maintaining a compact footprint of approximately 30" square.
To help protect the product during transport, the shelving system incorporates foam throughout the interior. The sides and top are padded with 1/4" XLPE foam, while high-density Comatex foam is installed along the rear of the compartments and on the bottoms of the shelves. Additional XLPE foam is used throughout the shelving assembly to cushion the beverage cartons and reduce movement during transit.
A removable Starboard separation panel installs across the front of the shelving system to keep the beverage cases contained while the road case is moving. Once the case reaches its destination, the panel can be removed and stored in a dedicated pocket inside the lid, leaving all four shelves completely open for quick access.
The lid also incorporates dedicated storage for the removable table legs, keeping the components required for deployment with the case rather than requiring a separate accessory trunk.
Built using LM Cases' heavy-duty ATA-style construction, the original case features a Charcoal exterior, recessed hardware, and heavy-duty casters. The finished assembly weighs approximately 155 lbs. before beverages are loaded.
This type of case is ideal for professional and collegiate sports teams, athletic training departments, sports dietitians, hospitality departments, touring productions, and other organizations that need to move large quantities of beverages while keeping inventory protected, organized, and ready for service.

This custom sideline nutrition trunk was built for Penn State to store and dispense food items such as fruit, snacks, and nutrition bars during games and practices.
The trunk features a removable table, fold-flat front lids for quick access, and two removable 10-compartment vending bins made from marine-grade plastic that can hang from the sides of the trunk during use.
The main body includes six heavy-duty Baltic Birch drawers, each divided into compartments for organized storage. A 45-quart YETI® cooler is mounted on a locking slide-out shelf for easy access to cold items.
Constructed from ABS-laminated plywood, the trunk includes recessed handles, slam latches, reinforced corners, and 6” casters, creating a durable and mobile solution for sideline nutrition service.
Dietitian Trunk w/Blender Drawer For The Chicago Cubs
This custom dietitian’s trunk was built by LM Cases for the Chicago Cubs to organize and prepare team nutrition items.
The trunk features 32 cubby compartments designed to store snacks such as energy bars, waffles, electrolyte packets, and small food containers. The divider system is modular and removable, allowing the compartments to be reconfigured as dietary needs change.
A custom drawer securely stores a Blendtec Professional 800 blender and four Wildside+ jars, protected with closed-cell foam. Two additional heavy-duty storage drawers with removable dividers provide space for larger nutrition supplies.
The case exterior is constructed from ABS-laminated plywood and includes a hinged top lid and removable front lid that converts into a work table. It is finished with recessed handles, protective runners, multiple casters for mobility, and a Chicago Cubs logo silkscreen for team branding.
