Fender Pro Sonic Amp Case
This custom road case built by LM Cases is designed specifically for the Fender Pro Sonic guitar amplifier. The amplifier is held securely in a custom foam-lined interior designed to protect the cabinet during transport while keeping the amp easy to load and unload. The tray incorporates 2" PE foam beneath the amplifier, with additional foam protection around the sides and inside the removable lid.
The case exterior is constructed from 3/8" plywood laminated with durable black ABS plastic and outfitted with recessed touring hardware. A centered recessed handle is mounted in the top of the lid, allowing the lid to be lifted off with one hand while also providing a convenient, balanced hand position for pushing or maneuvering the loaded case on its casters.
One of the unique features of LM Cases guitar amplifier designs is the set of recessed caster wells built into the top of the removable lid. During a performance, the amp and lower case tray can be placed directly on top of the lid, with the casters seating into the wells. This creates a stable raised platform that brings the amplifier closer to the player's ears, helping improve monitoring on stage and potentially reducing the need to run the amplifier as loud. The same caster wells also allow compatible cases to stack more securely during transport. This approach is also used across several other LM Cases amplifier case designs.
The case rides on four swivel casters and features additional recessed handles for convenient loading, unloading, and positioning. The removable lift-off lid and low-profile rolling tray allow the amplifier to remain in the tray during use, minimizing handling of the amp itself.
