The LM Cases Portable Wired In-Ear Monitor / Headphone Amplifier Rack is a compact, road-ready monitoring system designed to provide reliable stereo wired in-ear mixes for musicians, production crews, recording sessions, and live events. Built around a rackmount headphone amplifier and housed in an LM Cases 2RU rack designed to fit inside a Pelican 1510-style case, the system combines professional signal interfacing, portable power distribution, and rugged protection in a compact package.

This particular system was developed around the ART HeadAmp6 Pro, providing independently controlled headphone amplifier channels that can be fed directly from a monitor console or other audio source. Rather than relying on traditional 1/4" headphone extension cables, the rack converts the amplifier's stereo connections to standard XLR connections, making it significantly easier to deploy using conventional microphone cables already found in most production inventories.

The front panel features eight XLR inputs arranged as four stereo input pairs. These connections interface with the headphone amplifier through custom-built internal adapter cables, allowing left and right console outputs to feed each wired monitor channel independently. This makes the rack well suited for monitor consoles, stage boxes, recording systems, and other professional audio equipment where XLR connectivity is the standard.

Four stereo XLR outputs are located on the rear of the rack. Each output can be connected using a standard XLR cable to a compatible passive belt pack, allowing the performer to receive a stereo in-ear monitor signal while maintaining local level control at the belt pack. The result is a simple wired monitoring system that reduces the need for additional wireless channels and can help simplify RF coordination on crowded stages.

Power connections are also integrated directly into the rear panel. The system includes a powerCON TRUE1 inlet, a convenient TRUE1 thru connection, and an Edison outlet for powering or linking additional equipment. Internal power cabling terminates at the rack equipment using a locking IEC connection to help prevent accidental disconnection during transport or use.

The rack assembly is specifically designed for the tight dimensions of a Pelican 1510-style enclosure. The recessed rack construction keeps controls and connectors protected within the rack profile while maintaining an extremely compact footprint. When installed in the outer case, the system provides a portable solution that can travel easily while protecting the equipment and cabling inside.
