Chamsys MagicQ MQ 70 Compact Console Case
The LM Cases ChamSys MagicQ MQ70 Lighting Console Case is a compact, purpose-built protective case designed specifically for the MQ70. The case uses LM Cases’ XL Series aluminum construction along with a custom CNC-cut foam interior to securely support the console while keeping the overall package lightweight and easy to transport.
The interior is built around a precision-cut polyethylene foam insert that follows the shape of the console and helps prevent unwanted movement during transport. A dedicated relief is incorporated into the bottom of the insert to accommodate the MQ70’s movable kickstand, allowing the console to sit properly in the case without requiring the stand to be removed or repositioned for storage. The tray also includes an accessory compartment beneath the console area, with a carpet-lined bottom and approximately 2.5" of depth for storing cables, adapters, USB devices, or other small accessories.
The lid is fitted with approximately 0.75" of plug-style foam relief, providing additional protection over the console controls and display while the case is closed. The foam construction uses multiple layers and densities to create a durable, fitted interior suitable for repeated touring and production use.
The exterior is constructed using LM Cases’ XL Series custom aluminum extrusion, which incorporates an integrated tongue-and-groove mating system between the lid and tray. The extrusion wraps around 1/4" plywood panels laminated with durable ABS plastic, creating a rigid protective shell without the bulk of a traditional heavy ATA case.
Two surface-mounted twist latches secure the lid, while a spring-loaded recessed handle provides a comfortable carrying point. Aluminum corners and reinforced edging help protect the case during transport and everyday handling.
This case is ideal for touring lighting programmers, production companies, theaters, churches, rental houses, and other users who need a compact, dedicated transport solution for the ChamSys MagicQ MQ70.

This custom portable workstation case was designed to support Follow-Me tracking equipment in a fully wired, mobile setup.
The lid houses a 24” Dell UltraSharp monitor mounted on a tilting bracket, with integrated HDMI and power cabling. Gas springs assist with opening and keep the lid secure during use, while foam supports protect the monitor during transport.
