FOH Chair & Production Accessory Road Case
Designed and built for Volt Lites, this custom front-of-house (FOH) road case provides a dedicated storage and transport solution for a rolling production chair, folding table, and essential show accessories. The case combines multiple storage compartments into a single touring package, keeping frequently used FOH equipment organized and protected between productions.
The main chair compartment features a custom 1" PE foam-lined interior covered with white HDPE plastic. This durable, low-friction surface allows the rolling chair to slide in and out of the case without catching or damaging the protective foam. A large storage drawer beneath the chair compartment rides on heavy-duty Accuride glides, providing convenient access to additional production accessories. The case lid features a separate compartment designed to store a folding table, complete with an internal divider and cinch strap to secure the table during transportation. Steel box-tube reinforcement provides additional structural support within the case.
The exterior is constructed from heavy-duty 1/2" plywood and designed around a 30" truck-pack dimension for efficient loading alongside other touring equipment. The case features LM Cases' proprietary 1/4" aluminum forklift guard along the lower perimeter to help protect against impacts from forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
The hardware package includes deep recessed handles and heavy-duty 4" x 2" Colson casters for mobility throughout production facilities, loading docks, and touring environments. Custom two-color Volt Lites silkscreen graphics complete the exterior, providing a distinctive, professional appearance while making the case easily identifiable on the road.
This project demonstrates LM Cases' ability to create purpose-built touring solutions for equipment that doesn't fit into conventional road case designs, combining protective materials, integrated storage, and practical features developed around the customer's workflow.
