Portable Production Office Workbox w/Laminator Storage

This custom case built by LM Cases was designed for the Atlanta Falcons to hold office equipment. The case is designed as part of a portable touring office set up for professional football. The workbox holds a laminator, reams of paper, and general office supplies. The exterior case fits traditional truck pack dimensions and is designed to also fit under a bus.

The case interior features 6 drawers. These drawers are built into a ½” plywood shell that is independent from the exterior case. This “case within a case” design protects the drawers and glides from external shock. Each drawer is built from ½” Baltic Birch plywood, finished with black textured coating and mounted on HD Accuride glides. All drawers share the same width of 23.25” and depth of 17.5” with varying heights ranging from 4” – 8”. Each drawer features removable ½” black marine grade plastic dividers. The top 3 drawers are split into 16 compartments. The dividers can be removed in groups of 4 to configure the drawer as needed. Drawer 4 hold a laminator in a custom CNC cut PE foam compartment that contours the shape of the laminator. A separate rear compartment is available for the plastic sheets that are used with the laminator. Drawer 5 is split in half with a removable divider. Drawer 6 is split into 4 compartments with removable dividers. The front hinged lid features a pop-up table. The table is built from ¾” Baltic Birch plywood that is laminated with black Formica and wrapped in T-Molding.

The case exterior is built from ½” plywood laminated with black ABS plastic. 2 silkscreen prints of the 3 color Atlanta Falcons logo are located on the front lid and back of the case. The hardware set includes 10 deep recessed handles, 2 large, recessed latches and flat triangle corners. The handles are positioned in a way that allows the case to be laid on its back to fit under a tour bus or operated on its casters. 5 - 4” casters are mounted to the case via a ¾” plywood caster board. 3 casters are locking. The case exterior features ½” marine grade plastic runners on all sides to prevent damage when sliding the case under a tour bus or when it is loaded via conveyer belt onto a plane.
