NY Jets Equipment Workstation
This custom equipment room trunk built by LM Cases was designed for the New York Jets to provide a mobile, organized workstation for tools, hardware, repair supplies, and other equipment-room essentials.
The case combines a large drawer system, dedicated tool storage, clear-front hardware bins, an integrated work surface, and heavy-duty road case construction into one compact rolling trunk. The original build was finished in Forest Greenand designed as a rugged, field-ready workstation for professional football equipment staff.
The top of the case features a durable HDPE work surface, giving technicians a built-in area for repairs, prep work, and equipment service. The hinged lid uses ratcheting multi-position lid stays so it can be positioned securely during use rather than relying on a single fixed-open position.
Inside the lid, the case incorporates a custom storage system with clear Lexan bins and Smart Jars for small hardware, fasteners, and consumables. A 1/4" HDPE retaining door with aluminum U-channel keeps the Smart Jars secured when the lid is closed, while foam behind the pegboard helps protect the stored contents.
A dedicated center section provides storage for two drills and one rivet gun, keeping commonly used power tools organized and readily accessible without requiring a separate tool case.
The lower half of the trunk incorporates a multi-drawer storage system with several drawer depths to accommodate everything from small parts to larger tools and supplies. The design includes 5", 7", 8", and 10" deep drawers, with internal dividers used to create smaller organized compartments where needed. All drawers are carpet lined to help protect tools and reduce movement during transport.
The front doors open a full 270 degrees and fold flat against the sides of the trunk, where magnets hold them in place while the workstation is in use. This keeps the doors out of the technician's working area and allows unobstructed access to the drawers and storage compartments.
For mobility, the case rides on heavy-duty 4" x 2" casters, with locking casters installed at the front corners to help keep the trunk stationary once it is positioned in the equipment room, locker room, sideline, or work area.
