16 Space Shock Mount Rack - LM Cases Standard Series
This LM Cases 16RU shock mount rack case is part of our standardized modular rack series, designed for professional audio, broadcast, touring, AV, and production applications where equipment protection and efficient truck packing are equally important.
The rack features a 20" deep shock-mounted inner rack suspended inside a heavy-duty ATA-style outer shell. The shock mounting helps isolate sensitive rackmount equipment from vibration and impact during transportation, making the case well suited for wireless systems, processing racks, networking equipment, playback systems, amplifiers, interfaces, and other professional electronics.
The 16RU version provides 16 rack spaces with approximately 19.25" rail-to-rail depth. Front and rear rack rails are recessed approximately 1/2" to provide additional protection for controls, connectors, and cabling. The inner rack is finished in white, making it easier to see equipment and connections inside the case in low-light production environments.
A major advantage of the LM Cases standard shock rack series is its modular footprint. Rack cases throughout the series share a common outside width and depth, allowing different rack heights to work together as a coordinated touring system. The series is available in 2RU, 3RU, 4RU, 6RU, 8RU, 10RU, 12RU, 14RU, 16RU, 18RU, and 20RU configurations.
The 10RU through 20RU racks are equipped with casters and stacking cups, allowing smaller LM Cases shock racks to securely stack on top. This makes it easy to expand a system without changing its overall footprint. For example, a larger rack can house the primary wireless, processing, or control system while a smaller 4RU or 6RU rack containing expansion equipment travels directly on top.
Smaller 2RU through 8RU racks use stacking feet and mating cups, allowing those cases to stack interchangeably with one another. Because the entire series is designed around the same footprint, racks can be mixed and matched as equipment packages grow or change.
The 16RU case rides on heavy-duty casters for easy movement and incorporates recessed handles, recessed latches, protective corner hardware, and mating caster cups on top.

Computer Workbox w/Extended Top Work Surface
This custom computer workbox was built for the US Army Field Band and features a 12U shock-mounted rack, heavy-duty drawers, lid storage, and a removable table that expands the workspace between the case body and front lid.
The rack section is isolated with 1” foam and provides 25” rail-to-rail depth. It includes LM Tour Systems power distribution, with a recessed power inlet, duplex outlets, a DSK-SM module, Powercon connectivity, and a 25 ft power cable for reliable power management.
Below the rack are two heavy-duty drawers made from ½” Baltic Birch with Accuride glides and black textured coating. The top drawer offers 4.5” height, while the bottom drawer provides 6.5” height and includes two removable dividers for organization.
The front lid features Rip-Ties for cable storage, two bottle shelves, and a removable table that connects the lid to the case to create a large integrated work surface.
The case exterior is constructed from 3/8” plywood laminated with black ABS, finished with six recessed handles, 4” Colson casters, and a “US ARMY FIELD BAND” stencil for durability and identification.
17 Space FOH System Drive Rack w/Drawer
This custom FOH processing rack case is designed to store and transport rack-mounted equipment and accessories for front-of-house audio systems, while also being adaptable for wireless microphone, video processing, or other rack applications.
The case features a shock-mounted 17U rack with front and rear rails, isolated by 2” foam to protect sensitive equipment during transport. A heavy-duty storage drawer made from Baltic Birch provides additional space for miscellaneous gear and accessories.
Constructed from ABS-laminated plywood, the case includes 4” Colson casters for mobility and custom MSA logo and “FOH Drive” stenciling, making it a durable and clearly labeled solution for live production environments.
Broadcast CCU / Switcher Rack Flypack
This custom ENG broadcast rack case was built for Panavid to support mobile broadcast and production workflows.
The case features an upper 12U rack section designed for preview monitors and scopes, along with a perpendicular 1U rack space for a Clear-Com base station. Behind the rack are three storage drawers with configurable dividers for organizing accessories and equipment.
A locking center drawer houses a Blackmagic ATEM switcher and Panasonic camera controller, with additional rack space for a router panel and an integrated wrist rest for operator comfort.
