Computer Workbox w/Extended Top Work Surface
This custom computer workbox was built for the US Army Field Band. The case features a 12U shock mounted rack section, heavy duty drawers, shelves in the lid and a removable table that creates an additional flush work surface between the top of the case and the front lid.
The 12 space shock mount rack is isolated from the exterior case via 1” foam. The rack features 25” of rail-rail depth. The rack features a LM Tour Systems recessed male power inlet that provides a duplex outlet for the rack. A LM Tour Systems DSK-SM box populated with an additional duplex outlet. The DSK-SM is powered by a Powercon inlet and provides a Powercon outlet for additional outputs such as the LM Tour Systems Powercon To 4-Plex outlet bank. A 25ft LM Tour Systems power cable is provided.
Below the rack section are 2 drawers. Each drawer is built from ½” Baltic Birch, mounted on HD Accuride glides and finished with black textured coating. Each drawer features usable dims of 20.25” wide x 18” deep. The top drawer has a usable height of 4.5”, the bottom drawer has a usable height of 6.5”. The bottom drawer features 2 removable dividers.
The front lid features 4 Rip Ties for wrapped cables. Also included are 2 shelves for bottles. The front lid also features a removable table that is designed to interface between the front lid and the side of the case body. This removable lid creates a large worksurface inclusive of the main case and the hinged front lid.
The case exterior is built from 3/8” plywood laminated with black ABS plywood. The hardware set includes 6 deep recessed handles and 4” Colson casters and a “US ARMY FIELD BAND” stencil.
