Compact Athletic Trainers Portable Workbox Trunk

This Small Format Athletic Trainer Workbox from LM Cases is designed to provide organized, mobile storage for athletic training, taping, and medical supplies without the size of a full-scale workstation. Originally built for Mater Dei High School, this compact workbox gives athletic trainers convenient access to frequently used supplies while working seated or in space-limited environments. The case is finished in charcoal and measures approximately 28.5" wide x 22.2" deep x 31.9" tall overall.
The hinged top lid is supported by gas springs and opens to a divided storage compartment for medical supplies, tape, bandages, and other frequently accessed items. Removable dividers allow the top section to be configured around the user’s specific inventory, while slotted PE foam divider supports make it easy to reposition the dividers as storage requirements change.

The front of the workbox uses a pair of 270-degree folding doors rather than removable lids. These doors can fold completely around the sides of the case, where magnets hold them open and out of the way while the workstation is being used. This design eliminates the need to find a place to store loose case lids and keeps the work area compact and accessible.

Inside the case are multiple drawers mounted on heavy-duty locking drawer glides. The locking slides secure the drawers in the closed position during transport and also hold them open while in use. This is especially useful on a smaller-format workbox that may be transported or stored in different orientations, helping prevent heavily loaded drawers from placing unnecessary outward pressure on the front doors and latches.

The upper drawers feature LM Cases’ configurable “Tech Divider” system. Removable marine-grade plastic dividers fit into slotted foam supports, allowing athletic trainers to create custom compartments for medications, small bandages, medical supplies, tools, and other accessories. The drawing shows both shallow and deeper drawer configurations to accommodate a variety of supplies.

The large bottom drawer is specifically designed for athletic tape storage. Individual removable marine-grade plastic dowels keep rolls organized while allowing a complete dowel of tape to be removed from the case when supplies are needed elsewhere. The system was designed around 2" Johnson & Johnson athletic tape.

Additional details include recessed lid stays for mechanical lid support, protective HDPE runners on the rear of the case, recessed hardware, a custom silkscreened school logo, and heavy-duty casters for easy movement. The HDPE runners allow the workbox to be laid on its back without resting directly on the case hardware, helping protect the exterior during transport and when loading the case underneath buses or into equipment compartments. The drawing also confirms the custom silkscreen, HDPE runners, gas-assisted lid, locking drawers, and charcoal exterior finish.
