16U Portable HD Server Rack w/KVM Section & Storage Drawer
This is a heavy duty 16U portable server transport rack manufactured for SNA Displays. The rack is designed to hold rack mount servers and other video processing equipment. The rack features an external 2U section for a KVM located above the main rack section. A storage drawer and external 4U patch section is also provided.
The KVM section is located above the 16U rack section. This allows users to use the KVM at a standing height without opening the main rack’s front door. 3 sets of rack rail are provided for the KVM. A front set with a ½” recess, a mid set at 24” recess, and a rear set at a 38” recess.
The main rack section features standard 10/32” pre-tapped A/V style rack rail. The front and rear rails are recessed 2” ea. with a rack depth of 34” between. A vented 3/8” clear Lexan door is mounted at the front of the rack to keep equipment enclosed. A marine grade black plastic door with 4 high capacity, low volume exhaust fans is mounted at the back of the rack.
Below the main rack is a storage drawer. The drawer is built from ½” Baltic birch plywood, mounted on HD Accuride glides and finished with black texture coating. The drawer features usable interior dimensions of 18” wide x 12.75” deep x 5.5” tall.
A 4U patch section is located at the bottom back of the case. AC power is brought into the case via a 2U LM Tour Systems 20amp twist lock power panel. This panel provides a HBL2315 inlet wired to a HBL2316 outlet in a fully enclosed rear mounted box. The panel allows users to simply plug their UPS or PDU directly into the input panel for a clean exterior look. A Cat6 jack is included to bring WAN into the rack. 2 auxiliary punches are provided for future expansion. Power is supplied by a HD 12awg LM Tour Systems power cable. A 25’ custom HD cat6 cable was constructed to bring WAN into the rack. The cable was built from Belden 7953A DataTuff® cable designed for extra hard use. The WAN cable is terminated with a locking Neutrik Ethercon connector at one end to mate with the panel, and a standard shielded RJ45 at the other end to work with existing infrastructure. Also included in the patch section is a 1U fan control module. The controller allows users to set alarm temperatures and have control of all fans in the system. All cables, fans, and panels were installed by the LM Cases Custom Integration department.
The exterior case is built from ½” plywood laminated with black ABS plastic. The case features 4 pad-locking latches, 4 standard recessed latches, 8 deep recessed handles, and 4” x 2” Colson HD casters.
