Compact Carry On Resolume Media Server Kit
This portable playback system is designed around our 2 Space Airline Carry On Rack. The system is designed to be the interface portion of a Resolume media server system for a hip-hop artist. The compact format allows the tour’s playback tech to carry the system on any commercial or private airplane.
The video portion is based around a Black Magic ATEM Television Studio HD live production switcher. A Decimator MD-HX format converter is also included. Audio is handled via dual Radial USB-PRO DI’s for dual stereo redundancy. A network switch is also included.
All system connections are terminated at a custom hinged 2RU rack panel. Power is brought into the system via a switched IEC inlet with a fuse. The switch has a power indicator light to aid in troubleshooting. A cooling fan is provided to aid in air flow. The fan can be turned off with a switch in case ultra-low noise operation is required. 4 XLR’s are provided for system audio. These audio outputs can feed a snake or stage box directly without the need for an additional DI. Video can be outputted in HDMI or SDI formats. A Ethercon jack is provided for the DJ’s MIDI controller allowing him to trigger show elements. Additional HDMI, Ethercon, and USB jacks are provided for patching if needed. System integration was handled by the LM Cases Custom Integration department.
The rack is built from ½” Baltic Birch finished with black texture coating. A custom foam insert is provided in the Pelican 1510 case that traps the rack by its feet during transport. An accessory compartment is provided below the rack for power cable storage.
