PGA Tour Medical Workbox
This trunk was built for the PGA Tour’s medical staff. The trunk is designed to be a central medical supply station.
2 tape storage compartments located at the left and right sides of the trunk lid. Each compartment features 16 angled dowels per side for a total of 32. The tape compartments are protected by 3/8” clear Lexan doors to keep the rolls in place during transport. 5 individual compartments are centrally located in the case lid. Like the tape compartments, these small parts compartments also feature 3/8” clear Lexan doors with HD Southco slam latches.
The trunk’s main work surface is laminated with black Formica. 4 drawers are provided for storage. The drawers are built into a ½” plywood inner shell. This shell is isolated from the trunk exterior and allows the drawers to be protected from any impacts or stress to the outer shell. Each drawer is built from ½” Baltic Birch plywood, mounted on HD Accuride glides, and is finished with black textured coating. The drawers are 27.25” wide x 21” deep with heights of 3.875”, 4”, 4” and 12”.
The trunk’s 2 front lids provide additional storage. Each lid features custom storage compartments built from ½” marine grade plastic. The drop-down doors and front fascia are built from 3/8” clear Lexan with HD Southco slam latches. The left lid also includes a paper towel roll holder.
The trunk’s exterior is built from 3/8” plywood laminated with silver ABS and features a custom silkscreen of the PGA Tour logo.
