San Diego State Side Line Helmet Repair Tech Work Box
This trunk was built for San Diego State University. The trunk is designed to provide a mobile tool station to be used on a football sideline.
The trunk lid features a custom CNC cut foam insert for a Milwaukee cordless drill. Also mounted in the lid are 3 Tilt Lock bins divided into 18 small compartments and the cordless drill battery charging unit.
The main work surface is built from ½” marine grade black plastic. Below the work surface are two key locking storage drawer. Each drawer is built from ½” Baltic Birch plywood, and mounted on HD Accuride drawer glides. Each drawer features 2 removable dividers splitting each drawer into 3 sections.
Below the drawers are two open storage compartments that measure 30” wide x 20.75” deep x 12.5” tall ea. The trunk also features 4 removable plastic tubs that measure 16.5” wide x 10.875” deep x 6” tall.
The case exterior is built 3/8” plywood laminated with black ABS plastic. The trunk features 3 prints of the 2 color San Diego State Equipment logo. The trunk exterior has 2 UHMW runners on the back of the case allowing the case to ride on its back if needed in a bus bay. Case hardware includes 2 pad locking latches, 8 deep recessed and 8” field casters.
