UC Davis Athletic Trainers Work Station
This trunk was designed for the University Of California, Davis athletic trainers dept. The trunk is designed to be a portable, all in one workstation.
The trunk lid features 5 storage compartments designed to hold small items. These compartments are built from ½” marine grade plastic with a front fascia and doors built from 3/8” clear Lexan. Each door features a HD Southco slam latch. The trunk lid also features a stainless-steel holder for boxes of latex gloves, and a used sharps container. A cork board and a white board are also included.
The trunk’s main work surface is laminated with black Formica which provides a smooth, and wipeable surface. The main storage compartment of trunk features 5 heavy duty drawers. The drawers are built into a ½” plywood inner structure that separates the drawer unit from the exterior case. Each drawer is built from ½” Baltic birch, mounted on HD Accuride glides, and finished with black textured coating. The drawers are all sized the same with internal dimensions of 27.25” wide x 21” deep x 4.25” tall.
Additional storage is provided in the trunk’s dual front doors. Each door features custom storage compartments built from ½” marine grade plastic with front facias and doors built from 3/8” Lexan. The right lid features 5 compartments. The left features 4 compartments and a dispenser for ice bags.
The trunk exterior is built from 3/8” plywood laminated with navy blue ABS plastic. A custom silkscreen of the UC Davis logos is provided.
