Black Magic SmartView Monitor Fly Pack Storm Case
This case was built for Paramount Event Group as a custom video fly pack. The case features a 6RU tilting rack frame for a Black Magic Smartview Monitor. Below the monitor is a 3RU rack section for additional equipment storage. A custom foam insert is included to hold Datavideo DAC 70’s and Decimator MD-HX converters.
The tilting rack frame is mounted via position control friction hinges allowing the monitor to be placed along a 90-degree plane without the need for additional supports. A 3RU rack section with 2RU of rear rail is positioned below the monitor. The rack section has 15.5” of rack depth between the front and rear rails. The rack is built out of ½” Baltic birch plywood and finished with black texture coating. The rack shell features 2 deep recessed black spring loaded handles.
The custom CNC cut foam case insert is designed to hold the rack shell in addition to 7 Datavideo DAC 70, and 2 Decimator MD-HX converters. The insert is mounted into a Storm iM2975 waterproof case.
